JetBrains releases an open 12B coding-agent model
JetBrains released Mellum2.1 on October 8 with 12 billion total parameters and 2.5 billion active per token. Its Apache 2.0 weights are available on Hugging Face. The company says reinforcement learning in real repositories improved its ability to explore code, edit files and check changes.
